Which ferrule size do I need?
A bootlace ferrule is a metal sleeve crimped onto the end of a stranded conductor so it enters a terminal as one solid pin instead of loose strands. The code gives the size: the first figure is the conductor cross-section in mm² and the second is the barrel length in mm, so 1.5-12 takes 1.5mm² cable in a 12mm barrel. Each size has its own collar colour, though the printed code is the reliable check. Sizes are listed as individual SKUs, so you order only what your schedule uses.
What is the float switch for?
A cable-suspended float switch hangs inside a tank and makes or breaks at a set water level, so a pump cuts out before running dry or starts when a sump fills. This one is rated 16A at 250V. Wiring it into a pump circuit is a job for a licensed electrician — it sits in the control path and the environment is wet.
How much should I keep in stock?
