Ties, spiral wrap or cover?
Zip ties bundle cables in seconds but are single-use — removing one means cutting it off. Spiral wrap is a plastic coil wound around several cables to make one flexible bundle; it can be opened, added to and reused, which suits a desk or a machine where the cables change. Self-adhesive cable cover is a rigid PVC channel that sticks to a wall or skirting and hides the cable completely — the tidiest result, and the only one of the three that shields the cable from knocks and foot traffic.
What size do I need?
Gather the cables in your hand and measure across the bundle. The Snowlite cover stocked here is 10 x 35mm, which takes a small group of leads rather than a heavy bundle; the Kistenmacher spiral wrap comes in several sizes for different bundle diameters. Leave spare capacity — a channel packed full is impossible to add to later.
Is this a substitute for conduit?
No. These are tidying accessories for cable that is already surface-run. Anything concealed in a wall, ceiling or floor needs proper containment installed as part of the electrical work, and damaged cable should be replaced by a licensed electrician rather than wrapped over.
