As Mission: Impossible IV is due to start filming in Dubai next month, UAE residents are rushing to fill the spots available as “extras” in the film, which stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton. To celebrate the opening of a new store in Dubai, Bottega Veneta has created a special, limited edition version of the Stretch Knot handbag. Available in a numbered edition of just 25, it will be sold exclusively in the Mall of the Emirates Fashion Dome store.
The Dubai Knot is an elegant variation on Bottega Veneta’s celebrated Knot clutch, with a slightly elongated shape that lends the bag a sleek and feminine silhouette. Made of lizard in a lush shade of fuchsia, the Dubai Knot is also small masterpiece of craftsmanship, with corners sheathed in hand-woven intrecciato antique sterling silver. The bag’s iconic knot closure is also handcrafted from antique sterling silver.
The Dubai Knot will be introduced on October 20, 2010, at the opening of the Bottega Veneta store in Mall of the Emirates Fashion Dome and is currently available for pre-order.
We haven’t known such excitement since Willy Wonka’s golden tickets! Will you be one of the lucky 25?

Like fashion savvy celebs such as David and Victoria Beckham, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe, de Luxe has long been a fan of edgy label “What Goes Around Comes Around”.
Established in 1993 by co-owners Gerard Maione and Seth Weisser, the New York based company has been an innovative leader in the vintage clothing market since the opening of their flagship Soho boutique.
Designed with a vintage aesthetic and lifestyle in mind, the collection is distinctly modern but with a vintage edge. Influences are cited as ranging from the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s and the garments reflect aspects of mod, Deco, bohemian, rock ‘n’ roll and British genres as well as references to the Victorian era.
We look forward to rocking their cardigan with handcuffs even if it means turning the AC up to max. The range is now stocked exclusively at Desert Rose in Wafi Dubai.
We’d love to know whether you’d wear vintage/vintage inspired or if you’re locked in to labels. Could Dubai be the new London?

Topless at the marina
Had a lovely evening brunch down at the Aquara Lounge, Dubai Marina Yacht Club the other night. I think I may have had one too many oysters though as I got all frisky when I saw this bit of muscle by the quayside.
